QUÈ MACANA!

So I always forget what I want to say when I send out these group email thingys....

- We had 3 intercambios this week. I dont remember the word for intercambios, sorry. It is where I am with another sister for a whole day teaching. I was literally with my own companion for two whole days. But it was a great week and I learned so much from all the sisters! They are really cool. Most of them that we do intercambios with are all very new on the mission, but they have such desires to work and teach and find. They always impress me with their desires, and after each intercambio, I have greater desires to work harder.

- I tried tres leches for the first time. SO DANG GOOD.

- If any of you were wondering.... yes, my comp and I did each the 100 mandarinas that we bought... and we even had to buy more on the street. You all have no idea how good they are....

- HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD! You are one cool dad.

- We went paintballing again as a zone. So I felt like of at home, knowing that I was still able to go shooting when you guys went, eventhough I was not with you.

- One of our less active friends came to church yesterday! I was so happy. We didnt have any investigators at church, but she was the light of the day that gave me hope that I was actually doing something. And she showed up early! One of the first people in the chapel!

- It is still my life: knocking on doors and asking to use their bathroom. It turns out to be a great contacting technique! And my comp is also dying with me, so we take turns talking to the person as the other is in the bathroom. They are always a little weirded out at first, but we have found some cool people that way.

- I had a hard day one day while I was with Hermana Jonovich in intercambios. We literally got every door slammed on our face. Our member never showed up. Our appts fell through. A Jehovah´s Witness yelled at us. And a recent convert told us that she never wanted to come back to church because she watched one of those videos on youtube.... it was rough.... and I felt so bad for hermana Jonovch. She has about one transfer in the mission, and it was a really hard intercambio. But she was so so happy and hopeful all day! I really just wanted to sit down and cry, but she was so positive! It helped me to remember the Christlike attribute that we need to have as missionaries... hope. Heavenly Father has a plan for this area. It will not be easy because salvation is not easy.

- I GOT YOUR LETTER, AUNT STEPHANIE! It made me so happy.

I hope you all have a great week! HAVE FUN ON YOUR DANG CRUISE, FOOLS! Hahahhha

I Found My Twin

FELIZ LUNES!

BULLETS!

- I finally got my camera fixed... so prepare yourself for pictures.... Keith! Can you tell me how to put all my pictures from my camera of Dropbox? I cannt do technology.....

- Last week, my comp and I found this AWESOME FRUIT MARKET. I literally bought so much stinking fruit..... and for about 15 dollars. We literally bought 100 mandarinas.... 100 MANDARINE ORANGES. For 22 bolivianos...... that is 2 dollars..... COME TO BOLIVIA!

- I LOVE MY COMPANION. Her name is Hermana Gilvonio, and she is my peruvian twin. She eats just as much fruit as I do. She has to go to the bathroom just as much as I do. She eats canned peas for dinner like I do. She loves salteñas, too! She is awesome. Also, I am learning so much from her. She is an amazing teacher. She is a GREAT missionary, and really obedient. She talks to everyone, and is helping me to be a better teacher. I hope that I stay with her for the rest of my mission.

- We had a great week this past week. We have really been trying to find new people, and we were able to find 11 new people to teach! I am hoping that we are able to see some of them progress.

- I have been really trying to work on loving the people more and forgetting about myself. I know that that is my responsibility right now as a missionary. I need to work on completely forgetting myself, which is hard. I read the talk by Pres Uchtdorf from this past priesthood session and I LOVED IT. Are we being genuine in our actions? Why are we here? Why are we missionaries? So that people can think we are cool and spiritual? Or because we truly want to help and serve? I have been praying to Heavenly Father to help me change my heart. Sometimes it feels as if I am just going through the motions. And I dont want that for my last four months! If you havent read that talk yet, GO READ IT!

I dont remember what else I wanted to say except MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

... oh, and I am jealous of your cruise.....

.... oh, and tell Keith to stop eating people, please?

LOVE YOU ALL!

My comp

Its a Monday....

AND I GOT NOTHIN GOIN ON!

I wanted to tell you all about my new comp! SHE IS AWESOME! Her name is Hermana Gilvonio. She is from Peru. She has 13 months in the mission. She is an amazing teacher! I am really excited to be her companion. We havent even been together for a week, and she has already taught me so much. She is an excellent teacher. She is not afraid to just start teaching. She nows how to connect with people. And she always relates what we are talking about to the Restoration. Really, it is amazing. I love teaching with her. MOst times, we I am about to say something, and she begins to say what was in my thoughts.

We had a really great week this week. So Hermana Gilvonio and I saw so much success. I was nervous before the cambio began because we didnt have very many people to teach. All week, I had been praying to find more people to teach, more new investigators. And we were also fasting for our area. And I now realize the power of prayer, faith, and hope. We found 11 new investigators! And a family! That is truly a miracle for an area that is a little bit harder to work in. Heavenly Father truly does answer our prayers when we have faith and work hard.

I wanted to share one experience that we had yesterday. We were knocking doors, and we found a woman from Cuba. Lets just say that she didnt really like North Americans too much. Or the church for that matter. She basically lectured us for about 15 minutes. I stood there quietly. She then asked my companion why the American was so quiet. I told her very simply that I was not here to judge anyone based on where they were from, and all I wanted to do was share message with her that I know is true. I gave her a folleto, and we left. I was thinking about this experience and why we had it. I really dont think that she will ever read the folleto, but I think that Heavenly Father lets us have experiences like that so that we can feel the truth in our hearts as we testify. I teared up as I told her it was true. I felt the truth in my heart. That experience was for me to learn and strengthen my testimony. I know that this church is true, and I want to share it with everyone.

I am super happy and super excite to see what this transfer has to bring.

How is everyone there?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KRISTY! I LOVE YOU!

How is Em? How is your summer? I hope you are all eating a lot of slurpees for me! I miss those things...

Still no photos... i dont know what is going on with my camera.... or my memory.... but I will try to get it fixed this week.... sad because i have such cool photos to show you all!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

Wallejia Puni!

Another week down.... so sad.... the time is literally FLYING BY. I feel like this transfer didnt even happen! I had to say goodbye to Hermana Rossi on Thursday. It was sad. But, I was able to go and be with Hermana Parry again in Las Cuadras. You have NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I WAS TO BE IN MY OLD WARD AGAIN. It felt like my home... I realized that I love so many people there. I was able to go to TWO baptisms of people that we contacted together in Las Cuadras... Dana and Javier. They are so great. Javier is now preparing to go on a mission. When I get my camera fixed, I will send you guys pictures. He looked just like a missionary as he bore his testimony after his baptism. IT WAS SO GREAT.

I did want to ask you all if you could please pray for Barinia, one of my best friends in Las Cuadras. I went to see her this past weekend, and she is going through some hard times. Thank you so much.

I got a new comp! I will be with her tomorrow in the morning. She is from Peru. I dont know anything about her. But I am excited to meet her!

Other news...

- Hermana Parry and I had to sing a solo for a missionary fireside yesterday... QUE VERGUENZA! My voice is so dang chapi! It was really actually super embarrassing... hahahahah

- I GOT YOUR PACKAGE! It was filled with cereal dust and peanut butter oil. BUT STILL GOOD! hahahaha THANK YOU!

- Finally finding cool people at the very end of the transfer to teach. Heavenly Father must want me to learn patience and hope.

- I FINALLY GOT TO WATCH ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS. I literally DIED at the moth video.... seriously....

- CAMBIOS TRADITION; Hermana Parry and I split a giant papaya. SO GOOD .

I cannot remember anything else... BUT I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

LOVE YOU!
