Let Us be Anxiously engaged in a good cause

HELLO EVERYONE!
I actually dont really know what to write about....
- Two intercambios with two really cool sisters. I was in their areas both days. I love being able to leave my area and see more of Bolivia. The people are so humble in the different area. It is fun. I have one more intercambio this transfer!
- Speaking of transfers.... we have them this Sunday. I will know in one week where i will end my mission.... què nervios........
- Our area is doing better, little by little. We still meet every day very, very hardened people that do not want to listen to us at all. But then, I feel the joy that explodes my heart when I walk into church and I see Vidal sitting there super early, in his suit and tie. He is really progressing. He is one of the prepared people in this area that we had to find. He is the needle in the haystack that was so hard to find, but with diligence was found.
- We had a ward activity and four investigators showed up! We actually had 25 people at the activity! That is a record! Hahahahaha We watched Meet the Mormons. I love that movie. The coach reminds me of you, dad.
- REALLY, REALLY COOL NEWS: DAVID BEDNAR IS COMING TO SPEAK TO US AS A MISSION THIS SATURDAY! I am so dang excited. We also have a special conference with him as a stake. TWO DAYS WITH BEDNAR! WOAH
I cannot remember what else happened..... but I hope you all have a great week and enjoy yet another photo of the glorious salteñas....

- TWO INTERCAMBIOS! ONLY 3 MORE LEFT!
- Miguel Salazar, a less active, came to church for three hours this week. My heart almost died of happiness.
- Cool story. We were just walking when I felt the impression to knock a door. A sweet young girl answered and started to talk to us. We found out that she was actually baptized about 6 years ago, and she told us that she knew this was a sign that she needed to come back to church! God guides us every day.
- We gave Angela the Book of Mormon in portuguese. She seemed really excited to watch it.
- VIDAL IS DOING AWESOME! He stopped smoking. He is reading the Book of Mormon every day. He came to church this Sunday EARLY and told everyone there how excited he was to be baptized on the 29th. He is awesome. Please pray for him that he can overcome his addiction. He is trying so hard. He is a tender mercy from the Lord for us here in America.
LOVE YOU ALL!

Que clase de testigo sere?

¿CÒMO ESTAN? ¿TODO WALLEJIA?!?!?!?!?!
How was your week? I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT IT IS AUGUST. That really freaks me out....
This Sunday, I was feeling kind of down again about our area. I am trying to keep hope, but it makes me sad to see that our ward is struggling, too. We barely have support from anyone. We have a hard time getting members to come teach with us. I was pretty discouraged Sunday. But that afternoon, Heavenly Father answered my prayers. We had really, really cool lessons. A member came to visit with us! And I felt like the Spirit was guiding us in what to say and what scriptures to use. We are teaching a really cool Brazilian named Angela who seems really interested. She still hasnt come to church, but we are hoping that she will be able to come this Sunday
Then, we taught Vidal. I want to tell you the story about Vidal. So we were walking to an appointment, when we both felt impressed to talk to a man in the park with his daughter. We were both a little nervous, and werent sure if we should, but then we thought about the phrase that we learned in consejo... I FEAR NO MAN! So we ended up talking to him, and he told us that he has talked with missionaries before, and wants to be baptized. WHAT? I actually know his ex-wife. She is the sister-in-law of my pension in Las Cuadras. It was not a coincidence. He has problems with anxiety, so he didnt want to approach us. But when we taught him this Sunday, we found out that he had read the entire pamphlet, AND filled out the questions on the back! NO ONE EVER DOES THAT. He is preparing to be baptized the 29th of August. Miracles happen. Heavenly Father was showing me that I need not lose hope (like I so easily do here in America). He prepares people.
Other news....
- We get to go to the temple on Wednesday!
- WE WENT TO INCACHACA! It is like the jungle of Bolivia... kind of.... but it was so pretty! Pictures will come...
- I really discovered this week some thing that Keith told me before I came on my mission. He told me that we have to learn to love the people. That is our main responsibility. We have to show them that we love them! In my patriarchal blessing, it mentions how I have the responsibility to share the love of God that is in me with other people. It is not just about being obedient. It is about the WHY. Why are you being obedient? Because you have to? Or because you love the people?

I hope that everyone had a great week!
Kyle, how is your back?
Tiff, how is your comp? One thing that we also have to learn is to love our companions and SERVE THEM even when they are a little odd.
Keith and Rhiannon, finally leaving the cave, huh?
Kaymay! Keep practicing driving! I forgot how to drive, so you have to teach me!
Mamita! I LOVE YOU!
Dad! STOP TALKING ABOUT TRUNKI STUFF WITH ME! Hahahahha

Heavenly Father and I.... We are a Team

HELLO FAMILY!

I dont have a lot of time to write....

- HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA DALTON and STANLEY STEAMER! I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!!!!

This week, we made a goal to fast and "call on the powers of heaven" to help us in this area. There is one section specifically in our area where absolutely NO ONE wants to listen. So we fasted to be able to encounter the people prepared to hear the gospel. We ended our fast on Sunday before lunch, and then the first appointment that we had, we found someone. We were actually looking for another contact that we had, but we ended up finding a really cool joven. She is from Brazil! She is studying here, and she literally lives at the limit of this "red zone" in our area. An answer to our fast. I almost cried in the lession, because I felt the Spirit testifying to me that she was ready. That she will listen to us. She is really busy with school, so I have been praying every day that she will have time to be able to listen to us. Her name is Angela. She is way intelligent, and has so many interesting questions. I will keep you updated on what happens! I know that fasting works miracles, and I cannot help of think of that scripture in Alma 17:3. We can do this work through fasting and prayer. God and I. We are on a team.

- To soften the hearts of the people in our area, we made snickerdoodle cookies! Well... my comp made them. I helped. We found a lot of new people! Trying to mix things up here in America.

- No worries... ALL THE LICE ARE DEAD! WOO!

- Foto.... oh... just helping a lady make bread crumbs.

- A less active family came to church this week after the first time in a really really long time. Familia Perez. We are teaching her daughter who will be baptized in about two or three weeks! I LOVE THEM!

Sorry it is so short! I love you all!
