IMAYNAYA CASHANKI!? CÔMO ESTÂS!? I have been really working on my Quechua this past week. We are meeting with a cool recent convert family who teach me new phrases everytime we meet with them. It is cool. WALEJIA! I dont really know how to spell them, though.......
How is everyone? HOW ARE YOU KYLE?! I AM SO STINKING EXCITED FOR YOU! I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO WASHINGTON DC! THAT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER!
On a less exciting note, how was the lame Superbowl? I heard the cheaters won.... I am glad I wasnt there to watch it? Were the commercials good?!
I had a GREAT week this week. I want to share a quick story about a girl named Barinia. She is 15. She now lives with her member aunt. She has had a rough life. It is so so sad to me. But she has such a strong testimony and wants to be baptized so so bad. So we had to go through a little bit of a process, but now she finally has permission to get baptized! We are going to have it this Saturday. I dont know if I have ever been more excited for a baptism in my whole mission. I told you that ever since I met her, I felt such a special connection with her? It was like I knew her before. Like we had been friends for a very long time.... and I know that is true. Heavenly Father made it known to me this week. I had had some experiences before my mission that were really hard for me. But I knew that I would meet someone that would need my help because of those experiences that I had. Well, I now know that she was the one that I was supposed to meet. It then all made sense to me. Heavenly Father sent ME here to Bolivia for a reason. To meet HER. To teach HER. He sent me to Las Cuadras when I didnt want to go so that I could eventually be work in the Elder`s area, too. All so that I could meet HER. It is incredible to think that Heavenly Father has every single detail planned out. He knows everything. We just have to trust. The photo below is when we got to visit the temple grounds with her after her interview with President. It was a great day.
Another great experience was that we had NINE people at church! SO MANY OF OUR INVESTIGATORS CAME. It brought such joy to my heart. But what really made me cry was when one of my best friends here, Blanca, walked through the door. She came BY HERSELF. She is a less active. She hasnt been coming to church for about 30 years. But she came. It literally SHOCKED ME. Her daughter, who is our investigator, was so happy that her mom was there, that she got up and bore her testimony. WUT? An investigator wanting to share their testimony?! Some members dont even want to do that! Her testimony was truly touching. It was a great Sunday.
Yup. So less exciting things but stuff I wanted to tell you guys-
- We wake up every single night to some crying cat. It sounds like it is dying. It is annoying hahahah
- I learned a new way to contact people! Knocking on doors and begging them to use their bathrooms because I am about to die. I need to stop drinking so much water..... I will let you know if any baptisms come from my bladder issues....
- My comp lets me run again! I love her.
Yup... I cannot think of any other random things that I wanted to tell you. I hope you all have a great week!
