FELIZ CARNAVAL! We were stuck in the house for 2 days..... I was dying.... hahahahah I think we watched about a billion church videos. I ate a whole watermelon in one day, and we killed about a million spiders in our house. SICK.
How are all of you?! My brain is feeling very scattered today, so I am going to do bulletpoints.
- HAPPY VALENTINE`S DAY! AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD! I am so jealous that you were all in Cali for your birthday. I hope you ate all the good food for me!
- We met a girl that works in a libreria that lived in Virginia her whole life and just recently moved back here. She is way cool, and speaks perfect English. So we have been teaching her. Can I just tell you how hard it is for me to teach in English now?! It freaks me out.... for some reason, I struggle with it! But this girl is really cool. She told us that she has talked with the missionaries before, and that she never doubted that our message was true. We are looking forward to seeing her progress. OH! And Kyle! Her dad still lives in Arlington, Virginia! You should go find him and teach him! OH! And she told me that there is a place in Arlington that sells SALTEÑAS! GO FIND IT! PLEASE!!!!!! And then you will know why I am so obsessed....
- We had to let go of one of our really cool investigators this past week. She is in the picture below. Her name is Paolina. She is a little cholita who has the sweetest heart. She wasnt progressing, and told us that she would never believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet, even after we told her to pray and pray about it. I cried. It was really hard. We will go back and visit her every once in a while. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for her. I didnt realize how attached I got to that little cholita!
- I want each and every one of you to read the Fourth Missionary. It is talk that I read yesterday (thanks to Cindy Call for sending it to me) about being the best missionary that we can. I was thinking specifically of TIFF AND KYLE AND STANLEY. However, you dont have to be a missonary to read it and apply it to your life. You can always change "missionary" to "member". We are here on this earth to change ourselves completely! We are our greatest work of art. What are we doing to change and become more like Christ. READ IT!
- Speaking of Tiff.... CONGRATULATIONS! OH MY LANTA! I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU! YOU ARE GOING TO BE THE BEST MISSIONARY IN ARKANSAS! Arkansas is a little crazy.... you may just end up eating squirrel or something heheheheh BUT SERIOUSLY, I FREAKED OUT. And that is so cool that you are leaving with Kyle! And that you will be in the MTC together!
- Kayla! I was showing a family your picture this week, and they told me that we looked like twins. That was flattering to me since you are so pretty! It made me happy.....
- We got to go to the temple this past week! I feel like I havent gone in ages... It has been about 5 months. And it was such a stress reliever. It gave me the strength to work even harder.
- We had random kids in the street spraying us with squirtguns all week. it was fun.
Nothing else too exciting! Keep being great people, and remember that the Lord is always with you.
